About the Course
This is a full scale MCI training incident that involves your local Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement and the 911 Dispatchers.
The MCI Incident will simulate a school bus accident with multiple vehicles. 20-30 live patients will be placed in the vehicles. Children are typically sourced from local school groups like Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, FFA, etc.
Fire Departments will be tasked with scene size-up, command initialization, and coordinating extrication on the vehicles involved.
EMS will be tasked with Incident Command, Triage, setting up on scene care, coordinating transport via ground and air units depending on pre-determined patient ailments/injuries.
Law Enforcement will be tasked with securing the scene, and assisting in Incident Command.
911 Dispatchers will be tasked with being set up in our mobile dispatch center and dispatching the units required based off of your local MABAS Life Safety box cards.
Tools to be provided: Depending upon availability are Extrication tools from Amkus and TNT, Command Trailer, On-Scene VHF Repeater (VTAC-36)
